Can a board game foster a deeper understanding of Truth and Reconciliation?

The poster highlights how the the board game, “The Truth in, Truth and Reconciliation” was utilized as an educational resource which by providing the participants an immersive learning experience of the process of colonization in a board game format. Through truth and consequence cards, participants explored Canadian Colonial History, in an immersive thought provoking way. The players each became an Indigenous participant whose goal was to make four laps around Turtle island without being stripped of their land, language, culture or identity. If they were unsuccessful, they would be forced to enfranchise.
